So my last post was saying what a bad blogger I had been and then I went and disappeared again. Nice eh? ^_^ The summer is busy.... I have been busy with lots of different things both with life activities and with scrapping stuff. The girls only have 2-3 weeks left of summer left and it is crazy how quickly it has gone. Brooke is getting ready to start 3rd grade and Skye is starting a Pre-k program through the school and I am so excited for that. Skye is really excited about it. She will be able to ride the bus to school with Brooke in the morning but she gets out of school about 90 minutes earlier than Brooke. They also don't have class on Fridays. I think 4 days a week is good. Especially with it not being a full day. We went yesterday to do some school clothes shopping and that went well. Skye picked out her bookbag....iCarly...*shakes head* the girl is 4 years old and wanted an iCarly book bag....is that wrong? or weird? LOL I was trying to pursuade to a little but it was what she wanted and it's not like it was really that big of a deal. *shrugs* I just think it's alittle funny. We still have to get all the school materials (crayons, notebooks, markers, folders, ect.) for both girls and Brooke has to get her book bag and they both also need sneakers. But atleast we got a start. Brooke has been doing soccer this summer and this is the last week of it. I have really enjoyed watching Brooke play. She was so much more into it this year than she was last year. Next year Skye will get to play....I can't wait for that. I am sure Skye can't wait for that either. LOL Brooke isn't doing cheerleading this year. We gave her the choice of doing that or doing gymnastics and she wants to do gymnastics. That will be GREAT for her.

As for digi scrapping stuff....oh gosh there has been so much going on. The last 4 weeks I have been participating in the "Battle of the Creative Teams" at DigiScrap Addicts and that has been so much fun!. I am on Lauren Griers team "Technicolor Dreamgoats"....and I have loved ever second of it.This is what I submitted for this weeks challenge. I am really excited to see how things turn out for all the teams. There is such amazing talent out there. I just can't get over what a great job everyone has been doing. Not just our team....all the teams. It has been fun.

For the month of July I was a guest for Eva Kipler and at the end of the month I was asked to stay!!!! I was so thrilled and excitedly accepted. :)
This is my LO using her latest kit Viva La Diva. :) The color combo is beautiful and the papers are just amazing. I did this LO for the "Paper to Digi" challenge at SSD. I missed out on the challenges in July but I am challenging myself to get back with it for the month of August. I have started getting back into completely weekly LO's using "Life 365" goodies from Weeds and Wildflowers. I absolutely LOVE this idea and how great it will be at the end of the year to have a scrap book of each week. :) Now I just have to keep up with it. *sigh* I am going to try my hardest.

Well that is going to be the end of my blabbing for today. :) Thanks for reading.

Bad blogger

I've been terrible at blogging lately. So much has been going on and I just can't seem to keep up half the time. It is officially summer as of yesterday. :) The temps haven't been that great but this week they are turning summerish. I am not a fan of summer unfortunately. I would rather have spring/fall temps all summer long. Some good hot days for the beach or water park would be good but that's it. LOL

Brooke's last day of school is tomorrow, it's only half day and then she is done til the beginning of Sept. We got Skye's letter officially stating that she is enrolled into the pre-k program at the elementary and we are all extremely thrilled about that. Skye is so excited. She keeps asking when she is going. I am planning on getting her own little calender to mark off the days as we go through the summer so she can get more of a visual of "when" it starts. She got to meet the pre-k teacher briefly last week and she was over the moon about it. LOL Brooke had "Moving Up" day today at school. She got a couple of awards and I am sooo proud of her. She got an achievment award, the "Iron Girl" award for her grade and also the overall "Iron Girl"award for her elementary. She is only in second grade and beat all the other girls in her school, pretty impressive. :) Can't wait to take some pictures of her with her awards. The iron girl awards are plaques. :) Brooke's last baseball game is tonight. Then AYSO soccer should be starting up in another week or two (I think the beginning of July). I wish Skye could participate. I know she really wants to. One more year and she'll be able to do soccer, and that will be fun.

Father's day was yesterday and that was nice. Tim was really surprised with his gifts. I bought the girls "Father's Day" t's from Old Navy to put on that morning and they were so adorable. Brooke made a ton of cute things at school. Then the girls and I got him a gift certificate for 2 1hr massages. He has been wanting to get a massage for so long. He deserves it too. :) I can't wait til he goes, he is going to call and make an apt for hopefully this week.

Favorite Animal (FOBTY-SSD 5/4)

I absolutely LOVE going to the zoo! I honestly don't know who enjoys it more me or my girls. It has always been something I love doing. We don't have a "great" one close by but we usually go a few times a year. My favorite animal at the zoo are the Tigers, which we don't have at the zoo closest to our house and I hate that. But there is another zoo that isn't too far that has them and they are my favorite. Tigers are so beautiful and amazing. I just love to look at them. The monkeys are a close 2nd which is also at the same zoo with the tigers. I really need to get to that zoo soon....:) I have been telling the girls for a while that we were going to go. But then the weather got yucky and cold and just not good. Over the last few days it has been more "June" like so there is hope to get there soon. LOL

What's new w/ me in scrapping

So the end of May I was asked if I would like to guest for Tracie Stroud...and I was sooo excited for that. Tracie is such a talented designer and she also made it into round 5 in the SYTYCS competition. :) YAY TRACIE!!! The first LO I did was using "Peppermint Smoothie"

I can't wait to play some more with Tracie's goodies. :) Her store is FULL of them.

It's been a while since I have share some of my recent LO's...I've been keeping myself pretty busy. This past month was the first month since November playing along with the Challenges at SSD. I was on a mission and I was able to get enough pts for a 40% off coupon!!! I'm so freakin thrilled. LOL My original plan was that I would be content to have 20% off, the challenges have really helped my mojo and helped me get myself in gear. :)

I know that is alot of LO's....but it's been forever since I shared any. ;) You can see my full gallery at SSD with all the credits as well. Thank you for looking.

First day of June

It's officially the first day of June and would you believe that we had a frost warning last night? About 45 minutes north of us actually woke up with a dusting of snow on the ground?? WTH is up with that? Only in northern NY. LOL This is a little much though. We are still having to run our furnace because it is too cold at night not to have heat. Usually by now we don't have to be doing this. It stinks.

Brooke only has just over 3 weeks of school left before she is out for the summer. Last week we dropped off Skye's paper work for pre-k. We will hopefully find out this week if her name got drawn for the class. *fingers crossed* There were more than 18 kids signed up so all the names get put into a random drawing for the spots in the class. :( I'm really nervous, and anxious. I'm praying that Skye gets a spot. I want for her to be able to start school next year so badly and I know she wants to, too. She will be devastated if she isn't able to go. *sigh* So we'll see.

This past weekend Tim and I went on a 4wheeler ride Saturday afternoon and we were gone for like 3 hours. It was GREAT! It has been forever since we did that. I LOVED it! We went from Tim's parents house all the way to Belfort. Once we got up to his families land up there, we went down to the river, made a camp fire, roasted hot dogs, hung out for a bit and then headed home. I love roasting hotdogs over and open fire like that. I don't eat hot dogs that often but that is the way I prefer to do it. :) We got back and Tim's parents kept the girls over night. Sunday morning Tim and I slept in til 20 after 9! I felt like crap the rest of the day though...I think I got too much sleep. :/

This is going to be a busy week. Tonight I have a support group meeting and I have missed the last 2 so I do NOT want to miss this one. Tim and the girls are supposed to be going to Nick's baseball game (if it doesn't rain), and then Brooke has baseball games Tuesday and Thursday. Then Friday is Brooke's field trip to Alex Bay on a boat tour, I get to go along on that one. Saturday is the Relay for Life, and then Tim is working up to the Muddfest on Saturday and Sunday.

Summer Plans-FOBTY's

Yea I can NOT believe in just a few more days we are going to be in JUNE!! INSANE!!! Since the summer has really started sneakin' up on me I have only just started thinking about summer plans. My birthday is in August and I am going to be the big 3....0....*sigh* Not ready for that yet. I would really like to celebrate big for that....30 is a milestone right? LOL We don't really have any plans on traveling or any vacations planned as of yet. Our county fair is in July and that is something the girls are beyond excited for. They can not wait to go on the rides and all that comes with the fair. I also plan on taking a few days off here and there to take the girls to the beach, and spend the day up to the Water Park that is about 45 minutes from here. Nothing big though, no long trips from home. I'm looking forward to summer.

FOBTY's-My May

This weeks FOBTY SSD challenge is a great once. Instead of a little quiz it is to blog and tell about "Your May" and what some of the memories that you don't want to forget are. What a great idea.

This may be a length post....it really inspired me, not to mention I have 30 minutes left of lunch and I have the time. :)

This month has been FULL of things that I don't want to forget. First I will start with myself....Just last week I hit 60lbs for my weight loss and I am so thrilled about that!! On the 16th it was my 3 month surgiversary. :) It has been 3 months since I had gastric bypass and I feel fantastic. I'm tired at times but I have to try harder to make sure I am getting all my vitamins and supplements in. There really is NO excuse for that. I actually have my 3 month follow up with the surgeon's office who performed my surgery this afternoon.

Every year since Brooke has been in kindergarten she has received the physical fitness award "Iron Girl" for her grade, and this year she did the same. To top that she also got to compete for "Iron Girl" of the school from grade k through 5th. Now mind you she is only in 2nd grade....Brooke worked so hard and she GOT IT!!! There has never been a 2nd grader that has done this before!! It is an unbelievable accomplishment and I am sooo proud of her....she is amazing. I believe it works on a points system and she beat out all the other kids k-5th. There was only one other kid that got higher than she did and it was a 5th grade boy. I'm still in aw. I guess she is the talk of her school. :) I can't wait til the awards ceremony next month. :) What a proud mommy I am going to be.

For Skye (who just turned 4)....there isn't any one thing that stands out in my mind. There are just a bunch of little things. She is constantly making me laugh with something crazy that comes out of her mouth. She has no fear in what she says....she says what she feels and thinks. I'm undecided if this is a good or bad thing. LOL Last week at Brooke's baseball game she was following this boy around calling him her boyfriend...."hey boyfriend". He didn't know quite what to think. LOL He paper work for her pre-k signup will be turned in this week.... and I am crossing my fingers that she gets in. They are only allowing 18 kids and I've heard there are plenty more than that applying. So all the kids that submit paper work prior to June 1st are put into a drawing for the pre-k spots. I'm worried sick out it. Anyway....Skye is her own crazy and silly little person. Always making me laugh. :)

Another memory for this month would be the gift that Tim got me for mothers day. He got me a charm bracelet with a "mom" charm on it with the girls names engraved on it. It was so sweet and thoughtful of him. A pretty awsome gift. Speaking of which I have been meaning to take a picture of it so I could scrap it. :) I know a few people who didn't get any recognition on mother's day so I feel pretty grateful for my many gifts.

That about wraps it up...I will make another post this weekend I have lots of LO's to share.
Thanks for reading!! :)

Monday Happenings

This past weekend was a pretty productive one. Saturday morning I got 3 layouts done by 10:30 am. It was great. I relaxed, drank some delisious hazelnut coffee, and just scrapped away. I was able to catch up on some challenges I hadn't done from SSD. The challenges have really helped inspire me and get my mojo moving. For the longest time I felt in such a funk. I really struggle trying to come up with a page idea or page title. I am TERRIBLE at titles.

Saturday afternoon Tim and I took the girls to the Shrine Circus in Watertown. It was sooo much fun, and I had a blast. I don't remember ever going to an actually circus before. The girls really seemed to enjoy it. They got to have a ride on ponies and also took a camel ride. I got pictures but I don't have them resized yet. They didn't turn out that great because I took my small point and shoot camera and they pics just aren't good. I absolutley LOVE tigers and lions....they are one of my favorite animals and that was also one of my favorite acts. There was a clown that did an act with house cats and it was freakin' hilarious! There was also a camel, horse and pony act and that was great. I don't know how in the world they are able to train those animals to do the things they do. One of the horse got up on his/her back legs and hopped across the ring. It was unbelievable. That night after the circus we got home got a few things done around the house and got the girls settled down with a movie (Wall-E) and then Tim and I watched a movie too (Get Smart). Sunday was a day for laundry catch up, mowing the lawn and lounging. LOL I went NO where and it felt great. I mowed the lawn (which I love to do) and I was able to get 2 loads of laundry dried on the line. Saturday it rained all day and I knew it was going to be nice Sunday so I waited. The girls played outside almost ALL day. It was a chilly but gorgeous day. I had to keep an eye on Skye because she kept taking her sweatshirt off (she had a t-shirt underneath) when I wasn't looking. The girls is a nut. Our neighbors little boy who is in Brooke's grade was over to play alot of the day too. The girls had a pretty busy day.

Tonight Brooke has a baseball game....our first home game. The weather is going to be alittle chilly but the sun is out and hopefully there will be no rain. This morning I had to get blood drawn for my 3 mo. follow up this Thursday. It has been 3 months since my weight loss surgery already! And as of Saturday morning I am officially down 60lbs! That is incredible!

"Blooming Flowers"

This is the first month I have been back challenging to my self to the SSD challenges since before December and I have sure missed them. :) Today's challenge is the blog challenge and it was a short quiz. Here is me....."What Part of Spring are You?"

You Are Blooming Flowers

You are an optimistic person by nature. In even the darkest times, you are hopeful about the future.

You feel truly blessed in life and can sometimes be overwhelmed with emotions.

You have an artist's eye. You are always looking for beauty in the mundane.

Monday chatter

Well it's a new week and hopefully the start to a good one. :) This past weekend was pretty good. Mothers day was yesterday and that was nice. Poor Skye starte with a stomach bug on Saturday morning. There was no throwing up but she had a pretty upset stomach....I'll spare any one the details. Saturday morning, Saturday night and then last night she had awful stomach pains/cramps and I felt so awful for her. There isn't much you can do and I just felt terrible. She would just cry and cry. But during the day Saturday and Sunday she was fine most of the time....it was so weird. Sunday morning was nice. Tim slept upstairs with Brooke because Skye was in bed with me so she could be closer to the bathroom if she need to get there quick. Skye woke up at 6:30 to go to the bathroom, and then realized that it was morning time and said "Happy Mother's day momma!!!' It was soooo sweet. ♥ I loved it.☺ It was great. Tim got up shortly after and we were both able to go back to sleep for a bit. The girls came in about 8 or 8:30 to give me their gifts. Brooke made me some heart melting things at school. On one thing she chose a word for each of the letters in "Mother" that represented me. For "H" she chose "HOT". LMAO I thought that was CLASSIC!!! Sometime this week I am going to scan the papers she made me so that I can scrap them. ☺ Tim got me a charm bracelet with a mom charm on it and the girls names engraved on the back. :) He is so thoughtful....I can't wait to get some more charms to go on it. I have already started looking at them. What feels incredible is being able to just put on the bracelet and having it fit. If this was before I had lost weight I probably wouldn't have been able to do that.

We were all supposed to go to my mothers for a cookout yesterday but with Skye being sick Tim and the girls stayed home. My mother's husbands mother lives with them and she can't be around people that are sick. So I went down to visit my mom for a bit, chat, relax and catch up. It was nice.

I got some scraping done over the weekend and got to play with some of my new goodies that I bought last week. I made a LO with Lauren Griers new kit "Won't you Shine Shine Shine" for a challenge she is having on her blog.

It's been a while since I have done a LO about myself. I really need to do them more often....it feels good. It also will give my girls a better vision of who I am. ☺ Yesterday I started a page with Tim and I, and I can't wait to finish it. Here are two other's that I did. Full credits can be seen at my gallery at SSD.

Thanks for looking! Have a great week.

Happy NSD!!!

Sweet Shoppe was awfully slow for me all Saturday morning but once I was finally able to get in there I scooped up the following goodies. I may go back for another kit or two....or three before the sale ends tonight. I had transfered money last week to paypal so that I didn't have to have all these transactions and it didn't go through before Saturday. Agh!!! I was so mad...I'm still mad. I don't understand why it takes so freakin' long. The money was taken out of my Checking account last Thursday. WTH! Anyway.....on to more exciting goodness. :) I did get a bunch of goodies between Saturday afternoon and yesterday. There were some things that I decided not to grab and I KNOW without a doubt I am going to end up kicking myself in the butt. But I can't think about that. LOL I got some great deals. I didn't get as much scrapping done as I was hoping. That was alittle disappointing....but I kind of figured that was going to happen. LOL I got 4 layouts done between Saturday and Sunday which isn't too bad. I'll share those in another post. Here are images (that should be linked) of all the goodies that I picked up. :) I hope everyone had a great {i}NSD. :)

Last Friday's night out and other misc.

Last Friday night Tim and I did end up going out, but not out like we had originally planned. LOL We were able to get a baby sitter and we ended up going to W.town shopping and out to dinner. We were both pretty tired and didn't feel like going out to a bar. We had such a nice time. It was great to eat dinner and shop alone. We don't get to do that nearly enough. I don't him we really need to set a night or two a month and have a "date night" or something like that. Dinner was nice. We went to Red Lobster. I don't remember what Tim had but he had Shrimp and chicken and looked good but I'm not a fan of shrimp at all. LOL I had a salad (that I only picked at) and 1/2 a lb of crab legs...YUM!!! I LOVE crab legs! It was delish! It is so hard going out to dinner knowing that I can only eat a small portion of what I order. It isn't a huge deal when I can bring home the left overs though. I didn't dare do more than 1/2 a lb of crab leg because I was NOT bringing them home. ewww.....that freaked me out a bit.

Well this week has progressed along prettty quickly. It is already Thursday! Tonight is a brand new episode of Grey's and it feels like I have been waiting for ever for it. I am sooo looking forward to it. I have a few hours left of work and then I am outta here. There really hasn't been anything to exciting that has happened this week. Oh...the stomach bug that Tim and Skye had last week.....Brooke woke up with it at about 5:00 Monday morning. So far...I haven't gotten it and hopefully it stays that way. This weekend is the Mother/Daughter getaway and I am really looking forward to it. Check in is at 3:00 Saturday afternoon and check out is by 11:00 am Sunday morning. The girls both know about it and they are excited.

Here are my most current LO's ....you can see full credit in my gallery here.

I had such a hard time arranging things on this LO. The picture was
perfect for that little bench though. :)

We took the girls fishing this past Sunday and they LOVED
it! Tim did too. There were no bugs and it was a beautiful day.

Yes....Skye really kissed a work. YUCK!! As grow as it was though...
...it really was cute. She loved that "wormy". LOL

TGIF and some digi shopping.

I have been at work the last 2 days alone and it has been nice. It is Friday and I am sooo tired. It has been a crazy week. Tim started out Monday with the stomach bug, poor guy. He called in to work, which he never does, so you know he was sick. Then Wednesday morning at about 3:30am Skye and Brooke both woke up not feeling well and then 10 minutes later Skye was throwing up. It was awful and I felt so bad for her. That was the worst that she has ever had it, and my heart was breaking for her. I remember how scary it was when I was a kid and getting sick like that. You can't breath and it is just terrifing. She was quite the trooper though. She only cried when it was really bad. So far *knocking wood* Brooke and I are ok, so we'll see. I'm praying that we don't get it.

Last night after getting home from work I was miserable....don't know why....I just was. I decided I needed to do some digi shopping therapy. :D Shabby Pickle is having a sale this week (ending today) and they have 35% off!!! I was so excited to see that so I picked up some yummy goodies. Take a peak.

I did make a layout using... "Boutique"...but I haven't uploaded it yet. I have to do that tonight.

Tonight Tim and I MAY be going oout. We haven't been out in FOREVER. I am starting to feel more confident in myself since having surgery. I have lost 45lbs and that is insane and soooo exciting. We asked a friend if her daughter would mind watching the girls tonight and I'm pretty sure we have the ok. The girls mom watches Skye while I am at work. So when I go to pick the girls up tonight I will double check with her. Then it will just be up to what I feel like doing. I have a headache right now....and that needs to take a hike before I can think about going anywhere. I had a headache yesterday too. :( As for this weekeng....we don't have any big plans. The weather doesn't look to promising unfortunately. The girls are getting antsy for us to put up the trampoline but we need decent weather to do that. We'll see. :)

Easter Weekend and birthday celebrating

This past weekend was Easter....we also took the girls to Chuky E Cheese for Skye's birthday, and to the mall for some shopping. It was a very busy weekend. Saturday Tim took the day off so we tried to stay in bed as long as we could that morning. It still wasn't that long but it felt nice to not have to be out at 6:30-7:00. The girls were alittle anxious though. LOL Once we got up (about 8:00) we did some picking up around the house, got showers, and got everyone to go. We headed out about 11:30-11:45. We met up with my dad on Rte 12 and then headed to the mall after that. I wanted to take the girls to pick out outfits to wear the next day and also to see the Easter Bunny. The girls found outfits at Childrens Place, and what a chore that turned in to. Geez The girls had an obsession with wanting to use the fitting rooms. LOL From there we went and I asked the girls if they wanted to pick out new webkinz. :) They liked that. Brooke got an Arctic Fox (Husky she named it) and Skye picked out a dog, it looked like Brooke's Cocker Spaniel. While at the mall we went to see the Easter Bunny and Skye was hilarious. She was so excited to see him and all she wanted to do was go and give him a hug. The picture turned out really cute too. I have to scan it so I can post it here. We ended up passing by the bunny again before we left the mall and Skye was blowing kisses to the bunny and waving. Nope she is NOT shy. LOL Crazy, silly girl. :) Once we left the mall we went the Chuck E Cheese's and hung out there for about 2 hours. My dad came with us to the mall and then to Chuck E's. It was nice to just hang out. The girls had alot of fun. Brooke's friend Ashley was there for her cousin's birthday party. So Brooke and Ashley hung out most of the time. Skye liked to ride the little kid ride games...she wasn't too much into the games other than Skiball. That kid was DANGEROUS! LOL She got the hang of it after a while but I still didn't trust her and wouldn't take my eyes off of her and that ball. LOL Brooke loved skiball too....she did awesome at it actually. Before we left there we got the girls ice cream and balloons. We stopped to one more store before heading home.

Easter day was busy. The girls were up at 6:15am...which was earlier than when they got up for Christmas!! I didn't go to bed until late Saturday because I stayed up reading so I was reeeally tired. The girls were so excited for easter though and it was really cute. They hunted for their easter eggs. We got to Tim's parents house around 11:15 and Tim's parents had an Easter egg hunt set up for the kids there. That was really cute. We had lunch/dinner there around noon and hung out until about 2:00-2:15 and then headed to my mothers. We had dinner at my mom's with her, Bill and his mom and headed home about 7:00. It was a LONG and crazy day. I was exhausted. The girls were too. I think they really had a good day. :)

New goodies from my CT Designers

I am a very lucky girl....I am on CT's for three of my most favorite designers at The Sweet Shoppe, Dani Mogstad, Lauren Grier, and Julie Billingsley. I have been on Dani's team for probably almost a year now and I have only been on La's for a few short month (maybe 2). I am spoiled. LOL You need to check out the gallery at SSD to see all the beautiful creations there. It is so inspiring. I have felt in such a creative rut lately and I hate that. I have been wanting to scrap and then my brain has just been to tired by the time I get time to finally sit and scrap. I have only done 2-3 layouts since my last post here....and that is so pathetic for me. Life has been busy though and I just can't keep up. This past weekend I was really hoping to get some scraping done. I had such an awful bug to scrap. It took me two days to get ONE layout done....so sad. But we were hardly home all weekend so there ya go. LOL I can't post the LO I just did yet though because it has some new goodies coming this weekend by La....and wait til you see what she has coming out! EEEE!!! I can't wait. LOL Lauren had a new kit out this past weekend call "Sunday Best" and I just LOVE the yellow !. (The following images are clickable)

Dani Mogstad also has a new kit out called "Retrospect".

Last but NOT least....here is some new green goodies from Julie "Garden Botanicals". Here in northern NY everything is still brown/green but as we get more rain it starts to green up and I am so anxious for the beauty of spring to get here. It is so hard to be patient.

Well I hope everyone has a great week....I will be making another post about our fun weekend of Easter and birthday celebrating. :)
