I'm a Guest!! WOOT!!!

2007 is coming to an end and it is happening so quickly. It seems almost impossible that another year has gone by. *sigh* The past week or so has been so busy too and I haven't had much time to blog. I've gotten some LO's done and I can't wait to share them! It will be tomorrow before I get a chance to do that though. :( I'm tired and I want to go watch the rest of the football game with my hubby. Christmas has been here and gone already, and my sister is leaving tomorrow morning to head back to TN. We had a good visit though. My nephew is getting so big and I love him so much. I can't wait to share picture of him too. He has grown so much since the last time I saw him and he is just amazing. That little boy has a smile that just lights up the entire room. I'm telling you....it is just beautiful. :)

I also have some exciting news!!! I applied for Nicole Seitlers CT team for "Sugarplum Paperie" back in the beginning of November. Unfortunately she wasn't able to accept my application at the time but asked if I would accept a guest spot for January. I was very excited about that of course. :D So Nicole emailed me a few days ago and so now I am officially a GUEST!! LOL I am very excited for this opportunity. I already scrapped my first LO for her this afternoon. I'll post that below. You must check out her things, they are beautiful and the most gorgeous colors and patterns.

folded paper tear action by Atomic Cupcake.

This is Skye from this past summer. She loved the apples from our apple trees....she would sneak in a bite of them when she could. They aren't the type of apples that you would want to eat though. LOL

Ok I'll be back tomorrow with more LO's :D

Just a touch of Spring

With all the snow we have gotten lately I came across these pictures and just had to scrap them :) It is early enough in the winter where I don't really miss the beautiful green grass or the leaves yet but just give me a few more weeks. LOL Especially after Christmas is gone and we get the first race or two of my husbands snowmobile races done. Then I will be complaining and ready for spring. How can you not love spring though. Everything is blooming and so pretty. I love seeing the buds on the trees and the daffodils everywhere. I LOVE SPRING. LOL Credits are below the layout. Special thanks to LG perspectives for the swirly frame. :)

Just two for today

Ok here are two layouts that I have done...I think there might be a few others but here these one's are for now. :) This first kit I used "Midnight Blues" by DreamScrapper and it can be found HERE. The cardboard frames are by Amy Bleser. These birds are so pretty, especially against all the white snow.

Christmas is almost here

Only 4 more days until Christmas! Can you believe it?!?! It is going to be here so fast too. The girls have both been being CRAZY! This has happened every year with Brooke since she was about 3 and this is Skye's first year really starting to put things together. I think she is playing off of Brooke's hyper energy though. It has just been nuts. Skye hasn't been wanting to take a nap, she is also sick and needs the nap. So by evening time she can be a bit grumpy to say it lightly. LOL Tonight though it was 7:30 and she was asking me to go to bed. Poor lil thing. Brooke brought home present she made for us at school so we had it under the tree. All day I had been telling Skye we had to wait til Christmas to open it. Well when we were all out in the kitchen when Tim had gotten home Skye came out with the gift all unwrapped. It took me a second to realize it was Brooke's gift so I quickly flipped it over so I couldn't see it and put it on the counter. I was really looking forward to opening that on xmas morning. I love little hand made presents like that. It just melts my heart. The first present she made that she brought home from her first year in pre-k (she was just 3)just totally had my heart. I was so excited and I couldn't wait til xmas morning. :) It was a little flower pot with her cut out hand for the antlers. It was adorable and so sweet.

Starting tomorrow things will be pretty busy. A friend of Brooke's is coming over to spend the night. My sister will be here with my nephew on Saturday morning. So we get to visit with my sister all day. Then Sunday we (Tim, the girls and I) are going down to my grandparents house to meet up with my dad, my brother, my niece, and my sister and Caden. It will be a full house down there. LOL Then when Tim, the girls and I leave my grandparents we are going to my inlaws house to have dinner, visit with my in laws, my sister in law and brother in law.

Oh and as of this afternoon Brook is now on vacation!! EEK! LOL

I have had time to scrap a few pages and I will post those tomorrow.

"Spiced Eggnog"

I did two layouts in the past few days using DreamScrappers "Spiced Eggnog" page kit and it is really versatile. The first page I did was using a few pictures from my wedding and the second page was with some picture of deer that I took at my in laws house, which was more of a wintery layout. I really want to get my Christmas pictures for last year scrapped but I don't have them on the computer right now. I need to get them uploaded. But I have to wait until after Christmas . My CD/DVD burner is broken and I am hoping that I get a new one for xmas. I don't have much room left on my hard drive because of all my digiscrappging stuff and my pictures. *sigh* Anyway...LOL

The girls are getting pretty excited for Christmas. This week will probably go pretty fast because I have shopping left to do, lots of wrapping, and lots of prepping for this weekend. Brooke has a friend coming over to spend the night on Friday (a favor for the parents), then my sister will be here Saturday morning. Sunday we are meeting my dad, brother, niece, sister, and nephew at my grandparents house for an early lunch. The from there is it back to my in laws house for hanging out with my SIL and BIL, presents and dinner. Monday (xmas eve) I don't think will be too exciting. I think I am just going to have a dinner here for my dad, my sister and nephew. So Monday-Thursday will be all getting ready for the long weekend to come. YIPEE!! I can't wait.

Well here are my layouts. :D

Some new LO's

Boy it has been a busy week here and I know that with Christmas less than 2 weeks away it is going to just get even more busier. It is going to be here before you know it. My sister and her family are coming up from TN next week and I CAN NOT WAIT! I haven't seen them since last February. My nephew just turned 3 in the beginning of November and I hate that I had to miss that. :( He is getting so big and I just can't wait till my little man is here!!! This past week I scrapped some pictures from their last visit (see previous post for LO). It really made things even more exciting . Only 8 more days!! Not that I'm counting or anything. :D

This is my second LO since being on Trish's CT team. She has templates loaded to her store at "Do it Digi"....so check them out! There are lots more coming soon. :D I took the girls out to play this past spring. The snow (or most of it) had finally melted and they were so anxious to get outside. After being outside about 20 minutes Skye found a big muddle to play in. I decided just to let them go and get dirty....and boy did they ever.LOL They were covered from head to toe in mud and dirt. It was great watching them play and listening to the laughs and giggles. LOL

Visiting Santa

Skye and I did some Christmas shopping today and this year she is starting to "get" Christmas a bit more. She has been asking about "Ho Ho" (Santa) for the past few days and especially today. So when I told her that we might get to see him today she was pretty excited. Honestly though I really thought that once she saw him she would be climbing up the front of me looking to bury her head in my shoulder. LOL She is very shy...she is even shy with some of our family. All through the mall though she was talking and chatting away about "Ho ho" and once she finally did see him she was so excited. I had just gotten her out of her jacket and she went right to him!! I was in shock but soooo happy that she did it. Last year she didn't want anything to do with him. Brooke was the same way for about 2-3 years. She gave Santa a high five and she even got right up on his lap. It was so great! To make it all even better....the Santa they had was FANTASTIC!! Usually at this particular mall we went too....they have a Santa that looks like he has been drug up and down the highway a time or two. LOL But this Santa....he had a real beard, his suit was nice and he seemed like such a great guy. I got a cute picture of Skye and Santa but I have to go over to my MIL's to scan it. My scanner isn't hooked up right now. My fingers are crossed that I am getting an all in one printer/copier/scanner for Christmas. I could really really use one. :)

Well that is all for today....I have a few LO's that I have done so I am going to post'em. :)

Layout of the Week!! 12-03-07

This week at GP my layout "Daddy's Little Girl" (posted below) got chosen for LO of the week! I'm so excited about that! :) It feels great for one of my LO's to be chosen, especially with being so new to digiscrapping.

New LO's and new creative team!

Last week I submitted my name to a CT call for DreamScrapper and yesterday I got an email saying that I was chosen! WOOT! LOL I made my first LO using one of her kits this morning and I am very excited with how it turned out. With still being fairly new into the digi side of things I am so self conscience that my LO's aren't good enough. I'm like that with everything I do though. Especially with my photography. No matter how compliments I get I still an not real comfortable with them.

So here is the first LO I created using Bounty in Burlap that you can purchase HERE. I LOOVE fall and I have quite a few fall pictures to scrap yet.

Here is the other layout I did this week:

I used Michelle Swadling's page kit "Tea Garden". I love these colors and the flowers.

Ok and on another note....I can NOT believe we are going into December tomorrow!!! Where did November go? I'm on another Creative Team for Alma Townsend and she is doing a Brag book quick page exchange at SOTB and I created these two quick pages for that using Alma's Jolly Christmas page kit.

Black Friday

So this year I decided to brave it and go out to shop on Black Friday. I didn't do enough shopping to say so but I can at least now say that I have been shopping on Black Friday. LOL The alarm went off at 4am, I laid there for a few minutes asking myself if I really wanted to do this and if it was worth it. LOL Especially considering that I didn't fall asleep until after 11pm, and the night before I slept for only about 5-6 hours. So I got up, got ready and out the door I went. It had been snowing and it was still snowing when I left, the back roads were pretty slippery so I couldn't go very fast until I got to the mail road, and it was all clear from there. Once I got to town I was completely surprised at how many people were already out shopping. I honestly didn't know what to expect but now I do. I walked into the mall to head to K-B's and there was a line all the way across the mall. At first I was like there is no way that line is for K.B's but I soon found the truth. And actually the line really didn't end up being too bad. The wait wasn't too bad, the toys in the store were really easy to find, and the staff there was GREAT! The line to cash out was LONG, but you have to expect that with all the people going in there. I saved a decent amount of money going up there and it was worth it. I headed over to Old Navy after that grabbed a few things for Brooke and my nephew and was out of there and heading home. I was about just before 8 am and Tim was there waiting so he could head to work.

Last night we also put up the tree. I didn't plan on doing it until this weekend but I really couldn't help it because it was snowing and it was so pretty outside. I love putting up Christmas stuff when it is snowing. The girls helped decorate the tree and that was pretty interesting. I get a bit crazy sometimes because I want the ornaments put certain places but over the last 2-3 years I have gotten over it. LOL So what if the girls don't put them in the spot that I would have....I had to get over it. The tree still looks great. Now I just need to get some ornaments that have Skye's name on them. We have 2-3 with Brooke's but none with Skye's. Skye isn't a very popular name. I'll either make one, or I'll have one made for her. :D

And while I'm here....here is a LO that I did this morning from Brooke's first day of school. Since I just got in digiscrapping a few weeks ago I have alot of catching up to do. :D

Getting myself back on track with this...so bare with me.

Here is what I have been working on the last few weeks. I have become a digi-scrapping maniac. LOL I just got into this about a month ago. I have been doing traditional scrapbooking for the last 4 years. This is my new obsession. I am trying to work on getting older pictures scrapped before I work on the newer stuff. It has been so hard to find the time to scrap (regular) and I am sooo behind. With digi scrapping I can do it all right on the computer and it is so much easier and not as messy. LOL So here are a few pages until my next post. I have to go get the girls some breakfast. :D

Pictures (practice) from January 7th

I have been terrible about putting anything up here. It has only been since what....October. That is just sad. Well I think that I am progressing and getting better. I get raves from people saying how great my pictures look. That feels so good, but I know that I still have plenty to learn and practice. Here are a few pictures from a few weeks ago Januray 7th. Tim and the girls.

**NOT SURE WHERE THE PICS WENT**
