Playing the Wii

Who knew how sore you could get from playing a video game. LOL We got the girls, well it was more of a family gift, a Wii for Christmas. We have all enjoyed it so much. The girls LOVE it. It is hysterical to watch them. They love to play, tennis, and bowling. They both also just started to play around with golf and that has gone much better than I had expected. It is amazing how great they do at it. Friday and Saturday night Tim and I were competing against each other playing bowling, tennis, and even boxing. Boxing is quite the work out. I had to sit down after that one. That is probably why my shoulders feel so sore. ROFL I figred out a move that worked well for me and kept doing it. Tim was kicking my butt! LOL I did knock him down a few times though. It was GREAT!!! I am so glad that this has been so much fun for every one. It is something that we can all do together. It's fun. On Saturday I used xmas money that my father had given me to buy "Mario Party 8" and that has been fun. I'm the only one that has played it though. Tim played for a few minutes the other night. Maybe I can get Brooke into playing it, parts of it would be easy for her and others would be alittle difficult, only until she got use to it though. There are different little challenges that I think she would have a blast doing.

Watching Brooke play the different sports is hilarious. She has already picked up all the tennis lingo and the terminology for the scoring. I played tennis all through high school so I was already familiar with it all. Oh...how could I have forgotten baseball!!! Brooke loves baseball too. That has been where she has been pretty fun to watch and listen, that and tennis. She is just crazy when she plays tennis. I need to get her on video when she doesn't know it. It just comical to watch her bounce around, back and forth, and the works that come out of her mouth. LOL

Skye has been the little pro with golf and tennis...considering her age atleast (She isn't even 4 yet) She can be soooo stubborn though when you are trying to teach her how to play a game or show her what buttons to push. "I do it mama"...or "I knoooow". She is a nut. Bowling took her a while to get the hang of though. She just wasn't getting it. She wasn't following directions though either. LOL

3 Days til Christmas!!

I can't believe that Christmas is almost here!!! Once Wednesday get's here it will go so fast. Friday I was supposed to go to our office Christmas party but the weather ended up being absolutely terrible so I didn't end up going. That really stunk missing out on that. I did however end up going to town and getting the rest of my shopping done. It felt good to get it done, but I knew that I had lots of wrapping a head of me. I am not a big fan of wrapping AT ALL. Just while I was in shopping, I came out and there was an inch or two of snow on my car and one side of my car was all ice. It was insane. There were trucks plowing and they didn't seem like they could keep up with all the snow coming down.



Saturday Tim's parents took the girls for the day and then over night. The girls got to make cookies with Tim's mom, and they loved that. Saturday night Tim and I went to the movies and saw "Four Christmas". What a great movie....and it was hilarious. Sunday was a lazy, lounge around day. I got some stuff done around the house, bakes some cookies, did some scrapping and hung out with the family. It stormed on and off most of the day. Over the past few days we have gotten a good 2 feet of snow...maybe more. The girls have loved it and they are so hyper and excited for Christmas. I can hardly wait for Christmas morning and to see them so full of excitement. Christmas eve will be fun to, at the inlaws house. They will have fun opening presents and playing with their new toys.

Work today has been crazy. The phone has been ringing like crazy and people have been in here left and right. It's driving me crazy! LOL Hopefully the next two work days go by fairly quickly. I'm excited to have 4 days off. :)

Kasia's-Colorful Dreams!

So Kasia released a new kit today and I HAVE TO HAVE IT!!! LOL I can't spend any more money though right now. I have to wait until xmas and get all my shopping done. *sigh* But isn't this kit gorgeous!!!  Into my kaboodles it goes. :)

Christmas Shopping...finally!

I am so excited! Tonight Tim and I are going to get some Christmas shopping done. I have never been this unprepared for Christmas in so long...if ever. This morning I was feeling so overwhelmed with all that I have to still get done. It is terrible. My house is very unorganized and I just can't seem to keep up with it. The kids have been a little on the nuts side. You would think that they were excited for Christmas coming or something..sheesh! LOL Originally I was going to go tomorrow night after our work xmas party but the weather is starting to look like it COULD get nasty so I would rather not take the chances. I called Tim this morning and was hinting around about going tonight. Fortunatly everything has worked out and we are going to be able to go shopping tonight and TOGETHER. It sucks to go on a week night but I don't have much of a choice. Atleast I will have this weekend to get everything wrapped and the stockings put together. Brooke's school xmas part was/is today and then tomorrow is the last day of school before she has 2 weeks off. That is a LONG time to have off from school.

11 Days til Christmas

There are only 11 days until Christmas and boy am I in trouble. *sigh* I don't remember the last time I have been this unprepared for Christmas. I don't know what is wrong with me. It is really sad. I wouldn't really say that I am not in the Christmas spirit but I really haven't had much of a desire for Christmas shopping. Usually I can NOT wait to xmas shop, and wrap presents and all that fun stuff. Not this year. I was lucky I had the motivation to get the decorations out, up and the tree decorated. That was grueling enough. It is so weird to be thinking these things because it is sooo unlike me. I really have no idea why I feel this way. I have Tim pretty much done, I have a few things for the girls....like literally they have 2 things a piece (both clothing) and then a few things for their stockings and that is it. I made these cd case calenders back in the end of November and have those pretty much done and ready to wrap so that counts as SOMETHING I guess....right? LOL I have just been exhausted, and tired. Come the weekend I have so many other things I want to do...Christmas has been the last thing. Next weekend Tim and I are going to have to go Shopping for the girls and then try to get it all wrapped just so they can turn around a few days later and tear them all apart. *sigh* Part of the reason I have waited is because money wise we have had to wait because other things have come up. I also got a ticket and have to pay the fines for that. It got reduced to  a parking type violation so that is good but still having to pay a fine stinks. There was no getting out of that one. $125 down the toilet. So that was money I could spend on xmas and now have to pay for something else.
I have no idea how I am going to get this all done before Christmas but I don't have much of a choice right. I have always done better under pressure but this is just crazy.

The girls are both sooo excited for Christmas. Tim is pretty excited I think. My dad is coming up xmas eve night to stay the night with us just like last year and then we are going down to my mothers some time xmas day after noon. I won't be in much of a hurray. It is going to be hard enough having to tear the kids away from their xmas things. I haven't even taken the girls to see Santa yet....I feel so awful about that. Maybe this week we can take them.

Tomorrow I get to use my 40% of coupon at SSD that I earned back in Oct. from the challenges. I have to decide what I am going to get with that. I don't have too much on my wishlist right now. I have to by a xmas kit or two...I haven't really gotten any yet. Actually I take that back I got two...both are by Kasia Designs (I'm obsessed with her designs LOL). I have only used one of the kits so far (Crafty Christmas). The other one I got last night (A Winter Magic)and hopefully will use later tonight. :D
Isn't that adorable!!! and gorgeous!! This really should put me in the xmas spirit...I just have issues. :)

My sweet hubby

Right now I am just sitting here waiting for my hubby to get back from picking up take out. :) The girls are staying the night at my inlaws. I feel bad because Tim really wanted to go out and I am just not in the mood. The weekend comes and I just don't want to go anywhere. It's pathetic. How many people work full time jobs and have families and then come the weekend they are still running around? But me....i HATE going anywhere come the weekend. I just want to stay home, clean, hang out with the girls (when they aren't fighting) and doing some scraping. I don't get to do much scraping during the week so come the weekend that is all I want to do. LOL Tim left to go hunting this afternoon and I parked my butt in my computer chair. I did play around a bit this morning but then got a ton of cleaning done, preparing for my quiet afternoon. So here I am...Tim should be back any minute, and can't wait to eat some good food (I hope) and enjoy the rest of our night together. He will probably be going to bed early because he will be getting up to go hunting again. Tomorrow is the last day.

Just recently I have become a HUGE fan of Kasia's...her designs are GORGEOUS!! And you can find her at Shabby Pickle Designs. I LOVE most everything there. It's hard because my style isn't exactly what you would find there. I have been so obsessed with SSD over the last year, which isn't a bad thing and I'm not complaining, but I want to expand my creativity a bit. I am trying to step out of my comfort zone. :)

Ok my hubby just walked in the door with my food and I am starving. I am going to share a few LO's and then I'm off to eat.

Yay for THURSDAY!!

It's THURSDAY!!!!



It's a rainy day here, I woke up misserable and we are supposed to be getting a snow storm. Fun stuff!! LOL I do like Thursday's though because that means there is only one more day of work before the weekend. YAY! There really isn't much planned for this weekend. Tim's parents might be taking the girls over night this Saturday night, and that would be good. Tim's parents ended up catching the stomach bug and his mom was sick with it over last weekend and then his dad came down with it on Tuesday. He didn't seem to have it to bad though. It is a NASTY bug.



I am still in disbelief that we really are in December. It just doesn't seem possible that Christmas is in 3 weeks!! I have barely started shopping. I have Tim almost done, and have only picked up a few things for the girls. The things I have picked up have been clothes and what fun is that? LOL I did get them these neat sticker books but I caved and gave them to them last weekend cuz they were bored. ROFL I'm so weak. :D



Everyday this month SSD is giving away a new Cookie (template) but you can buy the whole set here for $10. The proceeds will be donated to "Toys for Tots". Isn't that AWESOME!!!





So far this month there have been two designers that are going to be giving away $25 gift cards to there stores if you use their designs with these templates. How great and generous is that?!!? December is my favorite month of the year. I just love this time of year.
